Recognition for our frontline staff

To commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, members of frontline emergency service staff received medals, if they had completed five years’ service (as of 6 February 2022).

We were very pleased to welcome ambassadors Tom Dunn and Shelley Rudman to the airbase to present our eligible critical care paramedics with their medals.

Unfortunately, our pilots didn’t quality through the original scheme, despite also operating on the frontline.

However, after working in partnership with Air Ambulances UK to lobby Government, we were delighted to secure recognition for our pilots and in June they also received Platinum Jubilee medals for all their hard work.
