The popular event had to be postponed this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but now the organisers, Threshold Sports, are offering a FREE virtual alternative.
Participants can choose between three different distances and have a seven-day period to complete their selected challenge.
You can opt for the mega marathon option totalling 100km, or go for half marathon or marathon distances. You can trek the entire distance in one day, or split it across seven days (or anything in between!).
The challenge runs from Monday 6 July until Sunday 12 July 2020.
You’ll just need a compatible tracking device or App to keep tabs on your distance travelled and at the end of each day you can catch up on your progress via a leaderboard on the Race To The Stones website.
Anyone can sign up now for FREE and you’ll even receive a digital certificate as well as entries into daily prize draws. There is the option to give an optional donation to charity, meaning you’ll receive a t-shirt or medal.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance fundraising manager Des Regan said: “Race To The Stones is a really popular event and we had a lot of people signed up to take part this year before its postponement.
“With some thinking outside of the box, Threshold Sports are now offering up an alternative virtual challenge which I’m sure will appeal to lots of people looking to keeping fit and active at this difficult time.
“It’s completely free to take part and we’d love some supporters from Wiltshire Air Ambulance to get involved.”
