When did you join the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Board of Trustees? At the end of January 2014.
What is your background? I originally qualified as an accountant before moving into marketing and then general management for a global automotive component manufacturing company based in Wiltshire. I currently work for a small management consultancy company specialising in the automotive sector and business development in Romania.
What was your motivation to become a Trustee? I work part-time at the Royal United Hospital in Bath and from my office window, I see the air ambulance most days I am there. I see this as an opportunity to give something back to the local community and contribute to the work of an essential local service.
What skills do you bring to the role? I am qualified as an accountant and have an MBA from the University of Bath, Through my work with the RUH I have a reasonable working knowledge of the NHS and a good understanding of Corporate and Clinical Governance, risk management and assurance and the charity sector.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself: In my spare time I am an Associate Lecturer for the Open University, enjoy playing the occasional round of golf and play keyboards in a local 9-piece band, Sticks.
