On Wednesday 14th May 2014 I was in the car going to school with my friend Elliot, his brother Toby and my sister Emmy, when suddenly a vehicle whizzed across the road and rammed straight into us.
Someone in another car lifted us out and laid us onto a bit of grass, about 2 minutes later the ambulance arrived, then 3 minutes after that the air ambulance came, I felt really scared at the time, I did not understand what was going on until I saw the massive dents in the front of the cars.
We all had some strong pain killers, then I got lifted by the amazing air ambulance to Bristol children’s hospital, where I was checked up by a room full of doctors and nurses, I was really worried because I didn’t know what was going on.
I was really freaked out when I got told I was having an operation, but once it was over I felt very strange, then I got taken to a ward where I was treated with lots of attention (especially by my parents and the rest of my family).
I’ve been healing well and I’ve also been doing lots of walking and swimming.
I feel really upset sometimes, that I can’t do any of the sports that I used to do like, ice hockey, football and tae-kwon-do, but luckily I can go swimming which is also something I can do with my friends.
I’ve got loads of amazing friends that have helped me through the worst time of my life, but luckily I have the most amazing parents in the entire world that have mainly helped me through everything.
Thank you to all of Wiltshire Air Ambulance, for saving my life.
