Become A Friend

"Without the skills of the paramedics and the availability of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, I would not be here today."

Chris was airlifted after suffering an Aortic Dissection. A silent killer with an increasing mortality rate of 1% per hour. Chris' wife noticed 'a look' about him that she wasn't comfortable with.

From that moment on, Chris had no memory of the next five days.

It costs £8,904 a day to keep us flying and attending incidents, just like Chris'. By becoming a Friend, you will be helping to secure the long-term future of the life-saving service.  From as little as £3 per month, your regular gift could be used to help purchase equipment or kit for the helicopter, provide additional training for our Paramedics or simply to fund essential items such as aviation fuel to help us fly!

We are funded almost entirely by public donations, so your monthly donation to the charity will provide a regular steady income, one that we can rely on. This will enable the charity to plan ahead and ensure that we can continue to keep saving as many lives as possible across the county.

Our state-of-the-art air ambulance, a Bell 429, operates 365 days a year and up to 19 hours a day. We can reach anywhere in the county in just 11 minutes and attend two to three incidents a day.

Joining the Friends of Wiltshire Air Ambulance could not be easier. Simply download and complete the Membership Joining Form and return to us at FREEPOST YOUR AIR AMBULANCE (please do not use a stamp or write anything else on the envelope) - although it is a one line address it is correct.

As a valued member of the Friends you will receive:

  • An exclusive Friends of Wiltshire Air Ambulance Lapel Badge and Car Sticker
  • Invitation to an exclusive annual Friends event
