Duchess of Cornwall visits the ASU

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance was delighted to have received a visit from HRH The Duchess of Cornwall on Friday November 21st, 2008. HRH was introduced to the Paramedics, Wiltshire Police, and Police Aviation Services during her visit to the Air Support Unit in Devizes. Richard Miller, Clinical Team Leader, hosted the entire visit and informed HRH about the crews work, the Helicopter and the functions of the Operations Room. Appeal Administrator, Melanie Gee, talked with HRH about the fund raising efforts and in a show of support, HRH purchased two Dexter Bears for her Grand Children.

At a separate small reception HRH was introduced Patients, Volunteers, the Ladies from the Westbury Charity Shop and Donors, who support the WAA with their amazing fund raising efforts.

HRH was a delightful and gracious guest and remarked on the incredible work undertaken by the crew and all supporters who assist the Appeal in keeping the Air Ambulance flying.
On behalf of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, we would like to say a heart-felt thank you to HRH for spending time with us and showing her support.
