17th July 2010 - Great Bulkington Railway

The private miniature railway will be open for steam and diesel powered train rides for adults and children of all ages on July 17th from 13.30 until 16.30 hours. Teas and ‘sticky buns’ will be served on the lawns by the good ladies of our village church.

We are located on the corner of Mill Lane in the village of Bulkington, near Seend next to the village hall. There is a thousand feet of railway track, a 40 foot long tunnel and lots of workings signals – some of the engines will be steam powered and coal fired and some will be diesel. We have ride on carriages for our passengers and will be supported by the West Wiltshire Society of Model Engineers. Toilets are available in the Village Hall.

All profits will go to Dorothy House Foundation and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

We Need Your Help

Devizes Lion Club

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance is often invited to have a stall at various events around the county. The stall will be provided with items for sale for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance which can be delivered and collected from your home address.

We can provide literature, stickers & posters to show the invaluable work of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Can you help?

We have recently all been on a team building day paintballing at Warminster.

We had a great day and would like to say thanks to Skirmish for a very enjoyable day, we fully recommend the site for anyone interested in attending. Please click here for the Skirmish website.

£1000 was raised by members of the Urchfont Scarecrow group, who have an
annual scarecrow trail to raise money for WAA. The cheque was presented to Richard Miller.

Jepson Housing Association in Swindon raised £360.00 from holding a Fete in July.

9th May 2007 - Planks Farm Shop, Lydeway Nr Devizes have donated £175.00. The cheque was presented to Richie Miller.

Victor & Doreen Reed from Rowde Nr Devizes after celebrating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary & instead of presents they requested donations to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal. On behalf of the crew I would like to wish them both many more happy years of marriage.
