Asda are launching a new way you can support your favourite charity’s, you can help Wiltshire Air Ambulance raise money when you shop at Asda by putting the tokens received at the end of your shop in Wiltshire Air Ambulances collection bucket on the Charity Display in store.

	Mrs Dot Whitehead manages our shop in Westbury was nominated by us to receive a life time achievement award for her services to the county She received third place and we are extremely happy for her. The award is not only for the dedication to her work but also for her volunteers who all work so hard to support the work of the Air Ambulance. Since the shop began, Dot has raised over 1.5million! We are extremely grateful for her dedication and continued support.

	Thank you to David, Charlie and Becky Brind for raising £400.00 at Brindys Car Boot Sales. They presented the Cheque to Rich Miller - CTL Paramedic. We are very grateful for their support.

	We are extremely humbled and delighted to receive a cheque for over £2,000 from Charlie Troop 21st Signals We were invited along to their medal parade and service to welcome home the troop after their tour in Afghanistan. They raised the funds by arranging a half marathon in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance…. I know… we can’t quite believe it either! Chairman of the Trustees, Richard Yuoens, CEO David Philpot, Head of Fundraising Caroline Corrigan and Paramedic Ross Culligan all were made to feel extremely welcome. Thank you all and wish you all the very best in your next tour.

	Daniel and Dominic - the smurfs! are cycling from Devizes to London in 24hour at the end of March. They are raising funds for WAA - Also in the picture is Paramedic Joanne Munday. The young lady on the crouches is Jessica with her family. Jessica was picked up before Xmas by the Air Ambulance and we were EXTREMELY happy to see her up and about!!

	Thank you Wiltshire Council Adult Care for your support! They held a raffle before Xmas for a Chocolate Hamper and gave us the funds. They raised £330

	You might remember that the boys and girls from the 21st Signals in Colerne (based in Afghanistan)who organised and ran a Half Marathon in Camp Bastian just before Christmas They raised Wiltshire Air Ambulance over £2,000 - We are honoured to be supported in this way by such brilliant guys. Matt Worthington and Adam Ravenscroft popped in to see us on Friday and invited us to their Medal Ceremony in March! They both go back to Afghan with week so.. 	Brandon (13) and Mum Tracy who visited us at Wiltshire Air Ambulance today to hand over a cheque for £300.00 to Richard Miller CTL Paramedic and Claire Kelly Head of Charity services. Brandon’s Dad Darren works at John Lewis Distribution Centre as Operations Manager in Avonmouth. John Lewis Partnership have kindly donated funds to support Wiltshire Air Ambulance after Brandon was Air Lifted on the 1st of July 2011 from Westbury, Brandon was flown to Bath RUH for treatment. We were all very pleased to see Brandon fit and well now he has recovered from his injuries. Tracy who flew with her son said “ She was so pleased with way the crew handled everything so professionally, the communication between the Paramedics on the ground and the Air Ambulance crew was fantastic. The aircrew really handled the whole situation so well, and were so reassuring. I was amazed at how quickly from the moment the initial 999 call was made that the helicopter had arrived and we got to hospital within minutes” Brandon added “ It was really good to meet Richard today because he was the Paramedic who rescued me. It was good to be able to say thank you.”

	Curves ladies lose lbs and donate £s in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance Ladies at Curves, Chippenham’s womens only fitness centre once again ran their December £ for lb challenge, this time in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Curves owner, Ruth Green, said she would give £1 towards the Air Ambulance for every lb that the ladies lost over the festive period but they also had to commit that they would put in £1 for every lb that they gained. The idea is to give them an extra incentive to stick to their health and weight loss goals over a holiday period that, traditionally, is difficult to maintain or lose weight. As an added benefit they’d be helping a local charity whether they lost or gained. The choice of charity became even more poignant for one of the ladies as her husband was air-lifted to hospital in early December.after falling from a ladder. Luckily he is fully recovered. 32 ladies took part in the challenge and with some losses and some gains Curves have raised a total of £78.00.

	Thank you to Cindy Hobbs owner of Shabby-chic-gifts.co.uk For organising a raffle in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance where she raised £90.00. The raffle was held at Walwayne School Christmas Fair.

	Many thanks to Fireman Mark Truckle from Westlea Fire Station in Swindon Who did a static line parachute jump (jumped on his own!!) to raise funds for us. Kevin Whitehorn with Daughter Rosie visiting Wiltshire Air Ambulance

Kevin Whitehorn visited us, along with his wife Claire and their daughter Rosie.

Earlier in the year Kevin and his brother in law Mark Vernon challenged themselves to ride more than 1,050 miles at an average of more than 100 miles a day as they bid to raise £2,000 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance charity. They smashed the target but whilst on the ride Claire who was 8 months pregnant at the time was hit by a drunk driver whilst waiting in the support car. Claire was air lifted by one of our neighbouring Air Ambulances.

We were very pleased to welcome Kevin, Claire and Rosie and very pleased to see mother and baby fit and well.

Avebury & District Club Auction of Promises held on Saturday 26th November 2011

Thank you to David and Alan and all the organisers of the very successful Auction of Promises. The auction raised in excess of £3,000.00 and the Club is donating £800.00 of that to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

White Horse Challenge presentating an amazing £12,000 to Wiltshire Air Ambulance

Wilts and Dorset Bus Company present a cheque to Wiltshire Air Ambulance

Wilts and Dorset Bus company took part in our first It’s a Knockout event earlier this year!

They have collected all their funds in now and raised a wonderful £656 to support us. A huge thank you to all those who took part and helped to raise this amount.

Thank you DHL Iceland for supporting Wiltshire Air Ambulance

Thank you to Vicky Ross and Robin Andrews, employees of DHL who kindly presented a cheque for £1243.16 to Paramedics Ross and Jo and WAACT volunteers John and Sandra Philips.

The money was raised by staff at DHL Iceland depot in Swindon. Robin Andrews raised £346.00 by walking from Avebury to Stonehenge. Another employee Paul Smith played in his band, Hell Cats which raised £374.00. The remainder was raised by staff on site with various cake sales and raffles.
All funds raised by employees for Wiltshire Air Ambulance have been matched by DHL.

The mayor of Trowbridge visits the Wiltshire Air Ambulance unit

The Mayor of Trowbridge popped over to see the Unit Yesterday

Cllr Nick Blakemore visited the unit as he has chosen Wiltshire Air Ambulance to be one of his charities to support in his Mayoral Year. Mrs Sue Bradbrooke from LarkRise Farm also came to visit. Mrs Bradbrooke is Cllr Blakemores other chosen charity for the year.

Paramedic Joanne Munday, PC Adrian Wells and Pilot Bob Lindup were on hand to answer questions on the work carried out by the Unit before heading off to an incident in Wiltshire.

George Bruce donating £50 to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal

who looked after us so well on a team build day on Monday Not all the crew could go as the Air Ambulance was still ‘online’ and working but the rest of the team took part in Archary, Pilot Racing, Clay Pigeon and Axe Throwing!!!

The crew and Appeal staff paid the cost out of their own pocket but Teampursuit Manager Pete Johnson, gifted the money back to the Appeal! Thanks guys.
