COLLECTION TINS

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal is delighted to be able to welcome on-board Colin Smith as our new Collection Tin Co-ordinator. Colin has been volunteering for the Appeal for nearly 10 years but has now joined us in a part-time capacity to assist in helping to raise awareness about the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal, and better support our collection tin fund raising activities.

We currently have 750 tins in circulation but are hoping to raise this to about 4000 across the County. A collection tin raises an average of £33 per tin, so you can see how valuable they are as a fund raising tool. If every collection tin we currently have is filled just once a year then you will help raise a staggering £24,750 per year!

Colin Smith

If you have a business or work for a company that would be willing to hold one of our tins then call Colin on 0845 122 1423 or email him at colin.smith@gwas.nhs.uk

When the tin needs replacing just give us a call and we will make arrangements to collect the full tin and bring you a replacement – it’s as simple as that!

Also, we can supply you with collection buckets for your ‘one off’ events. Give us plenty of notice about your event so that we can assist you with promotion on our website and then call Colin to make arrangements for the collection buckets to be delivered.

It doesn’t matter how small your event is, you will be surprised at how much you can help to raise with a well placed collection tin or bucket.

Thank You Mr & Mrs Wootten
Thank you Mr & Mrs Wootten

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance would like to say a very big thank you to Mr & Mrs Wootten for putting on their annual Christmas Lights Display in Corsham, all in aid of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Every year Mr & Mrs Wootten put up the lights but sadly last year thieves attempted to steal the collection bucket placed at the front of the house. They agreed once again to put the lights up, despite the spiralling electricity costs, and we are happy to announce that they managed to successfully raise £102.32p.

Mr & Mrs Wootten visited the Air Support Unit in Devizes along with their family and presented Bruce Miller Paramedic with the donation.

Thank you again Mr & Mrs Wootten for your continued support!

Thank you Larkhill

Much of the riding and racing community are fully aware of the vital role that the Wiltshire Air Ambulance plays in the equestrian world and their commitEven the weather was kind at the Royal Artillery Point to Point where a good crowd enjoyed some excellent racing. Larkhill can be a cruel place in January but a good racecard and some sun seemed to cheer up the punters as they very kindly donated £960.11p to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, in a collection as they left the course.ment was evident in their generosity.

The WAA wishes to thank the Royal Artillery Point to Point Committee and all those involved who helped make it such a successful day.
